The Greening of Detroit is hosting an Open House at their
Plum Street Market Garden greenhouses from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday,
March 5. The Plum Street Market Garden is located at the northeast corner of
Plum Street and Third, across the street from the MGM parking structure near
the Detroit headquarters complex. MGM built the greenhouses that are now
operated by The Greening of Detroit. Plum Street is currently in full swing
with transplant production and in-ground market production and, come
gardening season, will be the home of The Greening's youth apprenticeship
program. Come learn about this new urban agriculture site in the city, all
